I have not truly enjoyed the Fall most of my life.
When the first hints of crisp air and cool nights hit I start to feel a little down.
I used to tell myself it was because winter was on it's way and I HATE winter.
After recently attending two funerals, and spending too much windshield time with myself, I realize that Fall represents death.
I was pretty young when death first affected me deeply. It was Fall in Montana when my little sister Nanette was born dead, and I was pretty sure Mom was going to die too. We went for a ride to look at the fall colors and she wept the whole time.
I have grown to love Fall colors, but have never looked deep enoughto realize why Autumn made me feel uncomfortable.
Now I live somewhere that Autumn doesn't mean a dreadful winter is on it's way and I am looking forward to the season.
I am not sure it will ever be my favorite season, but I will not dread it anymore.
Spring is my favorite season, full of hope and life and new possibilities.
What is your least favorite season, and why?

Wow! That was a dreary blog!!! How about you just comment on your favorite season?
I am so directly affected by what I am reading, and right now I am in the middle of wuthering heights. can you tell?
Sorry for "blog stalking" in the past, I'm not very developed in commenting intelligently. My favorite season is Autumn... I like its name, temprature, colors, and holidays. However I agree with you on winter, it is a miserable excuse for a season.
I like September and October and I am alright with November but December to March I don't really care for but except they exsist and live through them.
You were right. We are complete opposites. I love Autumn. Everything about it. We all die sometime, right?
Winter is the best. I always hated putting on all the layers though so that's why in Price I can hang out in shorts and a hoody in the snow--I grew accustomed to it. Spring is depressing for me (my GPA is always lower in the spring semester but goes up in the fall semester). Fall is okay, it starts to cool down enough to go outside. Summer is so horrible! It always meant school was over. Then as I got older you'd think I'd get used to the heat but it just gets worse, my body just wants to shut down.
So get used to the cold, Layne! I'm looking for grad schools in cold places first.
